"Children become GREAT READERS on the laps of their parents."  TOGETHER we can make a difference!

BOOK CARE

  • Keep books away from food, drink, younger siblings and pets.

  • Always use a bookmark to hold your place.

  • Make sure your hands are clean when you are reading your books.

  • Keep your books in a safe place.

  • Return your books on time so other people may enjoy it.

  • Let Ms. Meglio know if the book needs to be repaired

HOW TO KNOW IF A BOOK IS RIGHT FOR YOU

  • First choose your book

  • Open your book to the middle.

  • Read this page aloud or to yourself.

  • Hold one finger up for every word you do not know.

  • If you hold ALL five fingers up before you get to the end of the page the book

is probably too hard for you.

  • If you hold up LESS than five fingers before you get to the end of the page,

this book is probably fine for you.
